Paul Avery - Executive Vice President

Paul Avery started working at James Avery in 1990 and currently serves as Executive Vice President for the company.  In this role, Paul works with Customer Service, Retail Development, Sales, and Marketing.  He also works closely with the management group and is on the Board of Directors.

Paul grew up in Cuero, Texas.  He attended Southwest Texas State University, and received an associate’s degree in horticulture from Texas State Technical College in Waco in 1986.

Prior to his current position in the company, Paul worked in several departments at James Avery including accounting, shipping, retail, corporate construction and maintenance.  He helped to design and develop the landscaping plans for the 40-acre James Avery campus located in Kerrville, Texas.

Paul and his wife, Gaye, live in Kerrville and have two daughters.  Paul enjoys the outdoors, especially house projects, gardening, boating and fishing.
