Supporting our Community
James Avery believes in serving the community with the same passion and care we bring to crafting our jewelry. With store locations in more than 25 cities across five states, it’s important to us to help improve the communities where we live and work.
We provide cash contributions and in-kind support to organizations and programs that enrich quality of life, with a special emphasis in the areas of:
- Healthcare
- Educating children
- Arts and culture
Community organizations that provide services in these areas may apply for the following types of support from James Avery:
- Contributions of our product to be used for fundraising at events such as silent auctions
- Sponsorship of special events that support the organization’s work in the community
- Cash contributions for specific programs
Guidelines
We give generously to as many community organizations as we can, but it is impossible to fulfill every request we receive. Therefore we will only consider organizations and programs that meet the following guidelines:
Mandatory
- Serve the community in one or more of the three areas of emphasis listed above
- Must be recognized as a 501(c)(3) or similar tax-exempt organization
- Must be located in a community where we have retail locations or major facilities
- Must submit a completed application, along with all required materials, in order to be considered for support

Other guidelines
- We prefer supporting specific programs that provide direct services to beneficiaries
- We prefer to support organizations that have clearly stated objectives, long range planning and active participation from a governing board of directors
- Cash contribution requests may be considered, but are discouraged
- When providing jewelry as an in-kind contribution, the selection of the particular piece is solely at the discretion of James Avery
Limitations
- Organizations may apply for support only once in any one 12-month period
- Since we get so many requests and we want to help as many groups as possible, past support does not guarantee future support
- Cash contributions and in-kind donations will not be given to support operating expenses, travel and conferences of any kind, scholarship funds, endowments or past operating deficits
- We do not make contributions to schools for project graduation, prom-related events, school teams, booster clubs, or extra-curricular clubs and organizations
- We do not support individuals for any purpose
- We will support religious organizations when they demonstrate that the request is related to providing direct community service in one of the areas of emphasis listed above
