Star of David

The Star of David is 1/2" long. As the cross is the symbol of Christianity, the Star of David is the symbol of traditional Judaism and is universally accepted as the emblem of Jewish faith. In Hebrew, the Star of David is called Magen David, which means "Shield of David", upholding the Jewish liturgy that God protected David like a shield. The emblem of David, a six-pointed star, often appears on synagogues and Jewish tombstones and symbolizes God's rule over the universe in all six directions: north, south, east, west, up and down.
