Shamrock of Hearts Charm

The Shamrock of Hearts Charm is 11/16" long.

The shamrock is a three-leafed white clover. According to legend, St. Patrick used the shamrock as a religious symbol, noting that the three leaves represented the Holy Trinity of Christianity. As St. Patrick worked to spread Christian doctrine across Ireland, the shamrock became known as a symbol of his work.

St. Patrick's Day is a religious holiday celebrated internationally on March 17th. It commemorates St. Patrick (c. AD 387–461), the most commonly recognized of the patron saints of Ireland, and the arrival of Christianity in Ireland. St. Patrick's Day was made an official feast day in the early 17th century, and has gradually become a secular celebration of Irish culture in general.

Ireland adopted the shamrock as their national symbol and it can be found on stamps, sports emblems, national crests and government buildings.
